What is a sqeeze page?
A squeeze page, has become a very popular way of establishing a mailing list. With a mailing list, you build up a personal bond with your clients and customers, like a newsletter. New promotions and special offers get distributed through a mailing list.
A squeeze page is usually the landing page for a product link, you will often be directed to a single page online, instead of a website. The tactic behind a sneeze page, is to give away as little information about the product as possible, while establishing curiosity by showing proof of results and user testimonials.
After creating the sense of curiosity, the page owner ill only give you access to the website, if you fill in a form at the bottom of the which includes your e-mail address. Now the site owner has your details, and can send you deals and offers, trying to convince you to buy his products.
Even though i have some myself, i personally dont like the idea of a squeeze page, but unfortunately it does work great. I usually put a detail box in my site, so users can read what its all about and join in if they are interested, this way there is now hidden elements, and the quality of my mailing list is higher, since my possible leads chose to sign up themselves, which means they are at least somewhat interested in what i have to offer.
A mailing list is very important since more than 70% of sales are made after clients received at least 4 emails with special offers and product reviews.
